Buddy 1.8.0

Here’s what’s new in DI Buddy version 1.8.0.

The app is available from Thursday, September 17th, 2026 in the App Store and Google Play Store.

Updated Android support

We’ve completed a major technical upgrade of Buddy, updating the external libraries and underlying components the app relies on to their latest supported versions.

This was an extensive behind-the-scenes update that ensures Buddy meets the latest Android and Google Play requirements and provides a modern foundation for continued development and support of newer Android devices.

Bug fixes and other improvements

• We’ve updated the Expected delivery time section on the Preparations page with a clearer disabled state for the input field and updated styling for the New estimated time text.

• Show all delivery points now correctly displays all delivery points without requiring District instructions to also be enabled.

• Improved text contrast for product information such as BREV in the Preparations view when using Dark Mode.

• Maps now load correctly when updating coordinates on affected Android devices, including Samsung XCover 7.

• Longer key information now wraps to a new line instead of being cut off on some phone models.

• Made some improvements on an issue where users could get stuck in a continuous syncing state and be unable to complete a route.

• Improved the layout on Android devices to prevent buttons and other content from being hidden behind the system navigation bar.

• The functionality to connect partially linked customer now works.
