Buddy 1.7.1

Here's what's new in DI Buddy version 1.7.1.

DI Buddy version 1.7.1 will be rolled out automatically from Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10:00.

To receive the update, the app must be running version 1.7.0 or later.

Vehicle registration in Buddy

We are introducing a new vehicle registration feature in Buddy that allows users to record the vehicle used on a route before starting distribution, including the vehicle type and registration number when applicable.

What’s new?

Users can now select a vehicle type and, when required, enter a vehicle registration number during route preparation in DI Buddy.

Supported vehicle types are Paxster, Company Car, Private Car and No Vehicle.

The feature is enabled on a per-company basis in Buddy and must be activated by DI Support. Until then, the functionality will not be visible to users.

How it works

Vehicle-based routes

For routes configured as By Car or By Car (Avoid Left Turns), the user must select a vehicle type.

If the selected vehicle type is Paxster, Private car, or Company car, a registration number is required before the route can be started.

Registration numbers must contain at least 6 characters.

Bike and walking routes

For routes configured as Bike or By Foot, No Vehicle is selected by default. A registration number is not required. Users can still change the vehicle type if another vehicle is used for the route.

Limitations

• Vehicle information must be entered manually for each route and is not carried over from previous days.

• Only one vehicle can be registered per route.

• Vehicle information cannot be changed after the route has been completed.

New Report: Overview of Vehicles Used

Users with the D-Leader or Region Leader role can generate the Overview of Vehicles Used report in DI Insights to view which vehicles have been used on routes.

The report is named Oversikt benyttede kjøretøy in Norwegian and Översikt över använda fordon in Swedish.

The report can be generated for a selected date range and includes the following information:

Company, Region, Area, Route, Date, Vehicle type, Registration number
