Buddy 1.1.6
Here's what's new in DI Buddy version 1.1.6. The app is from 27.01.2025, provided that it is approved, available in App Store and Google Play Store.
What's New
New photo confirmation flow for parcel delivery
In the previous version of Buddy, the proof of delivery with photo confirmation set up required the user to take two photos. One photo of the label and one evidence photo, this made the user use more time when confirming a parcel delivery.
In the new release, we have now streamlined the process of photo confirmation in Buddy. The new photo confirmation flow, now only requires the evidence photo when delivering a parcel.
The evidence picture is available in the customer page in DI and in Flow.
Make it possible to give a user rights to edit module coordinates
In Buddy, there is a possibility of letting users gain more ownership by editing the module coordinates to make their routes more efficient and correct. Previously, this functionality was available at the company level, which meant that all users in a company could have access to do so if it was activated.
In the new version, it becomes possible to give access to edit module coordinates at a user level, which means that a distribution manager can give access to trusted users.
When the new position is set and the user presses update, the new coordinates are sent to DI.
Note: The role will be available in user admin when an article about the functionality is published on the DI support portal.
Bug fixes and improvements
View reservations in Buddy
As a user, you are now able to show what addresses have reservations in Buddy.
Today we don’t show any reservations at all in Buddy, but we do it in EDG.
Corrected Newspaper Shortage (Manko) Reporting
Fixed an issue where the wrong newspaper was displayed in DI Control when carriers reported a shortage (Manko) using “Edit Volume” during preparations on for example DN7 on a Monday. The correct weekday is now sent when reporting a shortage.
Improved Address Alias Display in Full Route Structure
The alias (e.g., apartment alias) was previously displayed only when there was an active delivery for the address. If no deliveries were present, the street number was shown instead. In the new version when using the full route structure, the alias for the address is now displayed.
Better route instructions
In the new version, we have resolved an issue where address instructions were sent to every household on that address, resulting in duplicated instructions in the app. In addition to fixing the duplicated address instructions, we have made improvements on module instructions and household instructions.
Improved search functionality in list mode
Thanks to your feedback, we’ve made the search in list mode for routes faster, more accurate, and easier to use in Buddy. Try it out and see the difference!
