DAP - changes to f_absence

DATE:
AUTHOR: The Distribution Innovation team

On Monday, February 17th, we will deploy changes to a table in DAP.

Employee_id added to the f_absence table

To improve the table structure, we will add the employee_id to the f_absence table. You will now find both the employee_id and the employee_nr in most tables related to employment information.

Changes to route_id column

In the f_absence table, we had a column named route_id. This is, in fact, not the route_id but the route_nr. We have now added a column called route_nr, which will be populated with the same data that was in the route_id column. The existing route_id column will have the value NULL for all rows, and we will remove this column from the f_absence table shortly after the release on Monday, February 17th.

Impact on your operations:

Please note that these changes may require adjustments on your side, particularly regarding automatic data extractions. As we are adding columns and modifying existing columns, we kindly request that you review your existing queries and procedures to accommodate these changes effectively. Any joins you have may be affected.

We have also improved the DAP documentation found in db docs, updating tables, columns, and descriptions.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
