What's New

New flow for delivery and pickup of parcels

Earlier, Buddy operated with a confirmation process involving scans and photos for parcel deliveries, while photos were required for pickup parcels. We are thrilled to unveil a new enhancement: Companies can now choose the confirmation flow according to their preferences for regular parcel deliveries and pickups.

This solution will eventually become self-serviceable in Buddy Admin; however, for now, DI is responsible for its configuration. All companies have been set up with 'Simple confirmation' for parcels and pick-up parcels. If you wish to modify this setting for your company, kindly get in touch with our customer success managers.

The enhanced flow empowers carriers to confirm multiple deliveries concurrently, streamlining the process compared to the previous one-by-one approach. This unified flow remains consistent whether dealing with a single parcel or many of them.

Show full route structure

We are excited to announce a new feature added to our delivery platform. We have made an essential update to the route view to provide better visibility for our carriers. Previously, delivery points that did not require delivery were not shown on the route view. This confused carriers and made it difficult for them to plan their routes effectively.

With the new update, carriers can now view all delivery points on their route, even if no delivery is required. The "Show full route structure" feature can be turned on within the app settings before downloading a route. This provides a comprehensive view of the entire route and allows carriers to plan their routes more efficiently.

We are confident that this new feature will enhance the overall experience for our carriers and make the delivery process more efficient.

Improved handling of uncertain connections of customers

Have you ever come across customers in Buddy who are linked to an address but not associated with a specific household? We're thrilled to introduce a solution – users now have the capability to seamlessly connect these partially connected customers to the right household.

Upon tapping the customer and selecting the "Connect to Household" button, a new page will open, allowing users to designate the floor and household number.

This enhancement is all about empowering you to elevate the delivery experience using Buddy. By bridging these connections, we're enabling you to enhance delivery quality and accuracy, resulting in even better outcomes. Your delivery workflow just got an exciting upgrade!

Bug fixes and improvements

• To address bugs, enhance users experience, and serving as a temporary, user-feedback-driven solution. We are now introducing 3rd party app reliance for navigation within the app: defaulting to Google Maps, with options for Apple Maps if unavailable, gracefully falling back to in-app navigation if necessary.
