DI Optimize - version 1.4.0 and an update on our new road editor

You can now upgrade the DI Optimize plugin in QGIS to version 1.4.0.

Mapping Assistant

In this new version, we have made some improvements to the mapping assistant. You can now name your new layer when using the mapping assistant. This eliminates the need to rename layers in the layer panel before adding a new input layer that originates from the same module layer. By naming the layers you can provide better context for yourself when working with multiple layers.

You can also choose to create an input layer based on selected features (modules) only. This means you can use the mapping assistant on a selection without having to delete data in the module layer first.

Route summary

In the route summary box, we have added a vehicle group field. You can now easily see the type of vehicle servicing the route if you have a vehicle ID that is not self-explanatory.

Merge layers

When using our merge layer functionality, which allows you to merge two input layers, we now alert you to any duplicates. If the same module is mistakenly present in both layers, you will be notified, allowing you to review this before exporting back to DI Main. You can read more about merging layers and its use cases in our knowledge base on our support pages.

Update on our new road editor

Lately we have been working on a new road editor connected to DI Optimize, and we are getting closer to a release. In the near future we will arrange some short demos for our new tool to provide you with a preview, along with some basic information.
