Two improvements for the Cargostream operators

This week we are happy to introduce two improvements for the Cargostream operators.

1. We now support cut-off times also before midnight for the stations in Cargostream. This enables the operators to continue scanning after the current distribution has started, and get started on the next days volum even earlier. This is available as early as 16.00 pm, or as late as 10.00 am.

   As a default, each station is set with a cut-off 00:00, which is the same as before the release. So if you just want it to work as before, there is no change required in the Cargostream admin.

2. We also launch a new functionality for flexible configuring and sequencing printing labels for incoming volume in Cargostream. The functionality enables bulk-printing of labels (instead of one by one as today) and also the possibility to turn off label printing. The Cargostream administrator can define a desired number of labels to be printed in bulk and a desired waiting-time to print labels before the chosen number is reached.

   By using this functionality, the cargostream operator can postpone the print , and the system will automatically bulk up the desired number of labels into the print of one pdf file. The waiting-time is used to for the system to automatically print labels after a certain amount of time, e.g. at the end of a scanning session when the remaining number of parcels to be re-labeled is too low. Also note that it is possible to print immediately by pressing the print now button to the far right.

   If you want everything to work as is does today, there is no change required in the Cargostream admin. For all existing stations we have added the integration with default printing after each label, as a default. If you want to use the new functionality, your Cargostream administrator can configure your desired setup for each station.
