Consumer flexibility - Change delivery
User story
As a consumer I would like to change how my parcel is delivered to make the delivery as convenient as possible for me
Background
Today, after a parcel has been booked it is not possible to change how the parcel will be delivered.
Yet, consumer flexibility is ranked as the topp priority for selecting a carrier by consumers in several market surveys. It can improve the conversion rate in the webshop check-out when consumers know they can change destination and delivery method if they need to.
We would like to enable our customers to offer more flexibility, which then works as a great sales argument to webshops and consumers. Consumer flexibility may also be features consumers are willing to pay for, and create a new source of income.
Deliveries
Functionality to change which service point a parcel is delivered (API and in Flow interface)
Functionality to change which delivery method (freightproduct) for the parcel (API and in Flow interface)
Both functionalities include re-labeling of the changed parcel in DI's scanner Cargostream, as the details on the original label will be wrong.
The functionality will be available for B2C, C2B and C2C freightproducts where the carrier is using DI Distribution or DI Service Point. The functionality can be used between booking and first scan.
